Sony's telekinetic 'Carrie' coffee shop surprise

Sony has pulled off a brilliant stunt in a small cafe in New York to market the upcoming remake of cult horror Carrie.

Sony outfitted the cafe with remote controlled tables and chairs, a false wall used to levitate one patron and dozens of books that fly off the shelves all by themselves. One female actor plays the part of Carrie, leaving most customers terrified and running for cover.

The hidden camera experiment was deployed to capture the reactions of unsuspecting customers as they witness a telekinetic event.

The video – launched yesterday – already has almost one and half million hits on YouTube.
