SBS refreshes news brands

SBS is rolling out fresh logos for its news programs as part of a significant brand redevelopment.

World News Australia has a new name SBS World News, with Insight, Dateline and SBS 2’s The Feed all to air with new logos as well as refreshed openers and graphics packages.

Helen Kellie, SBS director of marketing, said: “This rebrand has been part of a journey to get to the core of what SBS represents; its beliefs and values and then creating a consistent hallmark which we could integrate across the business.

“We have sought to ensure and respect that each program has its own identity and place in the mind of viewers, while also being representative of the wider SBS family.”

Changes to Indigienous current affair program Living Black and WorldWatch will be revealed over the coming months. Updates are also in store and underway to other SBS brands including The World Game and SBS Radio.

The new logos and brand assets were created in-house at SBS.
