New marketer for Zanui as it preps for Ten's The Living Room

EXCLUSIVE: Furniture and homewares e-tailer Zanui.com.au has recruited experienced digital marketer Victor Sun as its new head of marketing.

Sun, who specialises in search marketing, direct response, change management and online advertising, replaces Zanui’s outgoing marketing head, Manuel Ribas Fernandes.

Fernandes is leaving the business and moving back to his home country Portugal for personal reasons.

Sun has worked at Reprise Media, Vistaprint, and Columbus Search.

Dean Kelly, co-founder and MD Zanui, said: “Victor brings an immense amount of skill and experience to the role and he will be a terrific asset to the team here at Zanui.”

Zanui is set to beamed into Australian family rooms this evening with the e-commerce player’s products to be featured in Ten’s The Living Room.

The deal will see Zanui’s wares featured in a renovation completed by the program’s Barry Du Bois.

A second episode with Zanui is being filmed this Sunday.

Zanui was launched in January 2012 by Kelly, his co-founder Joakim Broms and their investors Rocket Internet.

In January this year, the e-tailer appointed public relations agency Megan Rose Management. For more details on the appointment, which B&T also revealed, click here.

Kelly previously told B&T he was searching for a creative agency as Zanui looked to "scale up" its marketing. Zanui is yet to appoint a creative agency and is still working through its media plans, which are focused on PR and online marketing.
