New list names Sydney's top food blogs

A popular food blogger has attempted to demystify blogging audiences for advertisers with a new ranking system that is being described as an ‘Australian first’.

Thang Ngo, publisher of video food blog noodlies, has created a list of Sydney’s top food blogs based on estimated internet traffic using data from Amazon subsidiary, Alexa.

“There are over 2,000 registered food blogs in Australia but very little data to make sense of the bewildering choice faced by brands, PR and advertising agencies,” Ngo said.

“It’s an Australian first. No one has ranked so many food blogs using the most accurate ranking system in the world.

“From today, advertisers, marketers and agencies won’t have to rely on subjectivity and word-of-mouth when assessing which food blogs to engage with.”

Topping the list of 330 food blogs is Not Quite Nigella.

Top 10 Sydney food blogs:

  1. Not Quite Nigella
  2. Wholesome Cook
  3. Cook Republic
  4. What Katie Ate
  5. Noodlies
  6. Souvlaki for the soul
  7. Raspberri Cupcakes
  8. Gray Your Fork
  9. Chocolatesuze
  10. Manus Menu

Ngo plans to publish the rankings each quarter with the next update scheduled for December 1.
