Marketing director Gower exits APN Outdoor for M2M

Former UM Melbourne managing director Wendy Gower will leave her current role as client marketing director at APN Outdoor to take up the general manager post at M2M Sydney.

OMD and M2M Australia CEO Peter Horgan, said: “Wendy brings a terrific reputation and great experience in agency management, and marketing expertise. We are delighted she will be joining our leadership team.”

Richard Herring, chief executive officer at APN Outdoor, commented: “Wendy has made great inroads into informing and educating advertisers about Outdoor advertising, not just for APN Outdoor, but for the benefit of the industry. On behalf of the organisation I extend our sincere thanks and good wishes to Wendy for the future."

Gower added: “I am delighted to be joining the team at M2M. M2M has always been an agency I admired, with a reputation unsurpassed and a fierce competitor in any pitch.  It has been a fantastic experience for me working at APN Outdoor over the past year however the opportunity to join the team at M2M was too compelling to pass up.”

Wendy will take the reins from Ben Sjogren, who has been with OMG for almost eight years, running M2M Sydney for five years and previously as a business director within OMD.  Sjogren is leaving M2M to take up another opportunity.
