Appointed in 2013 by the Australian Sports Commission, Landor was tasked with the responsibility to develop a new brand strategy, core brand values, positioning and new identity system for the AIS.

Representing Australia’s pursuit of gold, gold has been chosen as one of the core colours for the brand’s new identity.

''This new brand takes us into a new age for Australian high performance sport,” Simon Hollingsworth, CEO Australian Sports Commission, said.

“The new positioning will effectively support Australia’s Winning Edge and will I hope, inspire many young Australians athletes.”

The new identity launches today at AIS facilities in Australia and Italy.
