Honda hires long-standing employee for marketing role

Honda Australia is promoting Carolyn McMahon to the role of general manager sales and marketing as the current marketing boss, Stephen Collins, concentrates on his role as director for the business.

McMahon has been with the car maker since 1995 and has held roles across business services, administration, and was most recently general manager of southern and western regional manager.

Her new role will see her working with Leo Burnett Melbourne, which took the account from DraftFCB last August, leading to the closure of the agency's Melbourne office.

Collins, who has been a director and held the managerial position since 2011, will now focus on business strategy in the broader management team.

He said: “Carolyn brings extensive experience in the automotive industry. Her strong working relationships mean she will be a great leader in our team.”

The appointment is effective from April 1.
