After successes such as the Share a Coke campaign, Coca-Cola has been ranked as the most effective brand and marketer in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the 2013 Effie Effectiveness Index.
The Effie Index ranks the most effective marketing and communications ideas from around the world as determined by the Effie Awards, now in its third year.
While Coca-Cola was named most effective marketer in Asia-Pacific, it was followed closely by Unilever, McDonald’s Cadbury and Star India.
For the Asia-Pacific region, Ogilvy & Mather was found the most effective agency network while WPP came out on top for the second year running, followed by Omnicom and Interpublic.
Mumbai's Ogilvy & Mather was named as the most effective individual agency office, followed by Colenso BBDO in Auckland, and Ogilvy & Mather in Beijing.
Chairman of the Effie Worldwide board of directors, Carl Johnson, said: "Now that the Global Effie Index is in its third year, shifts and trends can be studied and leveraged on a global and regional basis for maximum impact and learning."
“With over 40 programs focused on effectiveness worldwide, the Effie Awards add a healthy element of competition amongst the industry’s top performers.”
