EXCLUSIVE: American Express has appointed Sian Chadwick as its new marketing director across the Asia-Pacific, based in Sydney.
Chadwick takes the title of VP merchant marketing and business insights from former marketing chief Aileen McCardle who left the company after four years in February.
Chadwick has been with the company for 11 years, most recently as VP of AMEX’s charge card, new product development and flagship Membership Rewards program in the UK.
In this capacity she managed new card acquisition and customer engagement efforts across the company’s premium product portfolios; Gold, Platinum, and Centurion Cards.
The promotion sees her relocate Down Under where she will be responsible for all merchant-facing and network-wide communications, as well as the digital and social merchant-marketing platforms at American Express.
In addition she will oversee American Express Business Insights; the company’s merchant consulting and data analytics business.
Merchant marketing for American Express is divided between the United States and the rest of the world. Chadwick will report in to Sujata Bhatia who heads merchant marketing in international markets.
