Our client leads in the area of technology-driven manufacturing and engineering and is looking for its newest team member into their global communications team. Are you a digital strategist or social media professional thinking about what it would be like to jump in-house and potentially lead the social strategy?
This role will report directly to the digital communications manager but will be responsible for the day-to-day management of social media channels. The social media manager will help deliver social media operations and projects enterprise-wide. They will help identify potential reputation issues which may be triggered by social media community activities. As social media manager, you will create operational processes and documentation for the entire communications department in addition to monitoring social communities.
You will execute campaigns making sure correct tracking and reporting are in place. Success in this role means having contributed to increased engagement metrics across all social channels.
To be considered for this role, you will have an understanding of social media marketing and digital communications. You are driven by creating reputable content and are experienced in social media communities, management, and execution.
As the ideal candidate, you will have highly sensitive radar and a creative approach to news and storytelling. You’re an exceptional writer and arrive with a proven track record in proactive social media relations. You relish in a selfless team orientation and have proven ability to operate in an autonomous environment.
Your educational background is preferably tertiary qualified in Communications, PR and/or Journalism; however, most importantly you possess a minimum of four to five plus years’ experience in a corporate or agency based environment with strong social strategy and communications threads.
