Guardian Australia are seeking an experienced administrator to manage reception and provide administrative support to their commercial team
Guardian Australia (www.theguardian.com/au) launched in May 2013 as part of Guardian News & Media (GNM), one of the largest English language newspaper websites in the world (www.theguardian.com).
We have an opportunity for an experienced administrator to manage reception for Guardian Australia’s Surry Hills based office and provide administrative support to our commercial team.
As the first point of contact and face of Guardian Australia, the receptionist/team assistant will be professional and personable in their approach to welcoming visitors and handling phone enquiries. They will work closely with onsite security personnel and building management to ensure office security and a safe working environment is maintained, ensure kitchen and stationery supplies are regularly stocked, complete general clerical duties, and take responsibility for meeting room set-up and take down as required.
As a collaborative team member, the receptionist/team assistant will also provide administrative support to Guardian Australia’s commercial team, HR and CEO, including travel, diary management, leave processing and expenses.
This position would suit a highly organised, positive, and quality focussed self-starter with previous administrative support experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and a pro-active attitude and approach.

This role is being offered as a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract.
