The roles:

Project Manager/Designer/Placemaking (Must be a hands on designer)

Experience: Min 5+ years

– Specialised in or with the Architecture and Building sectors – have an understanding of their language and project expectations
– Ideally with, a diverse sector/discipline experience
– Experience in Design Documentation and Contract Administration
– Strong knowledge of manufacturing process and suppliers/consultants
– Strong architectural & signage design experience
– Experience in similar studios
– Strategic thinking, with creative flair
– Strong communication skills
– Ownership, accountability and committed
– A good cultural fit, a passion for design and the industry – an appreciation for style, well presented

As Project Manager you are part of the Placemaking team in Melbourne working together to deliver projects from concepts through to implementation. Your role is to bring a strong conceptual approach and a keen understanding of 3 dimensional space and the role of signage in the built environment.

In addition to working on your own projects, you will support other designers within the team (in collaboration and guidance from the Design Director and Creative Director), and play a key role in documenting and liaising with manufacturers through to final site inspections.

Most impressive is that you will be working on a range of both National and International projects of varying scales; across Australia, Asia and Middle East. The projects could typically include: Large Public Realm Placemaking & Wayfinding Masterplanning, Mixed-use Sites, Galleries & Museums, through to Hotels. And you will be working in collaboration with a range of top tier design practices from Architects, Landscapers, to Interior Designers from across the world. This applies to both positions.

Computer skills:

Platform: Macintosh (and or PC), Advanced Level, Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
Advanced Level of one or more of the following: Sketch up, Rhino, 3ds max, Keyshot, Autocad, Cinema 4D, Inventor

Salary: $90.000 (subject to talent dependant)

Placemaking Designer (Creative)

Experience: Minimum 3+ years
– Strong creative thinker with real design flair
– Broad and diverse range of cultural interests
– Specialised in or with the Architecture and Building sectors – have an understanding of their language and project expectations
– Ideally with, a diverse sector/discipline experience
– Experience in Design Documentation and Contract Administration
– Strong knowledge of manufacturing process and suppliers/consultants
– Strong architectural & signage experience
– Experience in similiar studios
– Strategic thinking, with creative flair
– Strong communication skills
– Ownership, accountability and committed
– A good cultural fit, a passion for design and the industry – an appreciation for style, well presented
