Work for, or partner with, a fast-growing, dynamic company that will value your contribution!

contentgroup is a content communication agency based in the heart of Canberra.  For the past 20 years, we have been helping our clients tell stories, influence change and strengthen communities.  In the last two years, we have experienced considerable growth in government sector business – at federal, state and local levels.

At contentgroup we live by a set of values and mantras that are key to how we approach our work, how we interact with each other and how we treat our clients.  The contentgroup team is made up of remarkable communications professionals who dream big and put in their best effort every day.  We appreciate, recognise and reward the contributions of all our people and offer employment conditions that actively demonstrate this philosophy.

contentgroup’s evidence-based communications methodology has been developed in conjunction with the Australian National University.  We believe that it is the solution to one of the biggest challenges facing the government sector today – how to effectively communicate with communities to build trust and better lives.

contentgroup is establishing a register of experienced communications/content professionals who can join our team at short notice as new projects arise.  This can be as a full-time, part-time or casual employee, or micro/small business operators who are interested in partnering (under a sub-contract arrangement) with us.

You will be based in our office in the Canberra CBD (‘Civic’) and/or in clients’ premise.  You will be supported by a team of in-house communications, PR, videography, graphic design and business development experts.  You will be trained in the contentgroup methodology, gain valuable experience in using it and become a champion in its application.

contentgroup is pre-approved on several government panels and has the infrastructure and capability to respond to requests for proposal/quotation issued through these panels.  If you are seeking to sub-contract to us, we can acquire new work, allowing you to focus on delivering services and managing your cash flow.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of five years’ experience in strategic communications, marketing and/or public relations, although we will you if you have less experience if you meet other requirements. You will have excellent writing skills and knowledge of communication best practice, and have experience in managing multiple clients and/or projects concurrently. Experience working in or with Government communications, including Defence, will be highly regarded, as will experience in managing a team.

You will appreciate and be committed to the contentgroup mission, vision, values and mantras and model these in your dealings with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.

As a large part of our work is with the Federal Government, you should be an Australian Citizen to submit an EOI.  Expressions from non-citizens may not be considered.  A security clearance, or the ability to gain a minimum of a base level clearance would be an advantage.

If you are seeking to sub-contract to contentgroup, you must not be a sole operator and you must have appropriate public liability, professional liability and workers’ compensation insurances in place.
