In the near future, the majority of Eventbrite’s business will come from outside of the United States. The company is currently in a phase of strong international growth. We have ambitious growth plans for the Australian and New Zealand markets, with plans to continue our growth trajectory into the greater AsiaPac region. Eventbrite officially opened our Australia office in March 2014, building on a strong organic business where over a hundred thousand events had been hosted on the platform before boots were on the ground. Since building a lean and tenacious team, the Australian business is focused on continuing growth through brand awareness and marketing, and targeting major events where our product is a great fit to help organisers be more successful. The team is made up of three primary functions: Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Success. We’re small, scrappy, and help each other out as we work towards our shared vision of making Eventbrite a household name when is comes to live experiences.
We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with strong analytical skills and experience managing multi-channel digital campaigns. The perfect person for this role has a passion for digital media, solid understanding of effective channel mix and optimisation best practices.
You will be directly responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of our digital campaigns, performance marketing and acquisition programs. This includes working with the broader ANZ marketing team across demand generation and product marketing to ensure we hit our quarterly lead goals and partnering with our global digital specialists to maintain company best practices and leverage international expertise. A key part of this role will be to communicate our progress throughout the organisation.
It’s a complex job, requiring analytical thinking, solid digital marketing skills and an eye for detail. Work with the AU&NZ marketing team to lead the execution of customer acquisition and demand generation campaigns to drive both our business development led and self-service (organic) businesses
Partner with the global SEO and performance marketing teams to implement new customer acquisition strategies for AU&NZ, including recommendations for webpage and content optimisation
Analyze drivers of lead generation productivity, making recommendations that will increase our overall lead volume and quality, while improving our efficiency
Build reports and dashboards within our marketing tech stack that help our team unlock insights about our activities and help us track progress against our goals
Identify, evaluate, and test new digital channels and acquisition opportunities, through customer focused insights and/or implementation of new technologies or paid partnerships
Assist with the maintenance of the AU&NZ blog via WordPress and the production and distribution of our world-class content
THE SKILL SET
3+ years experience working in a marketing team or agency
Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or digital marketing or related disciple
Proficient in AdWords, Display Advertising, Facebook, the Google suite and remarketing tech and tools
Intermediate level of understanding of website development, analytics and SEO
Sound knowledge of Google Analytics and how it can be used to uncover on-site customer behaviour
A growth hacker mindset and ability to think outside the box
A bias towards execution with a proven ability to make things happen
Strong analytical skills reflected through an ability to translate ambiguity and complexity into clarity and actionability
Have used (and loved) Eventbrite as an organiser, attendee, or both!
Interest and/or experience in content marketing and content creation
Prior experience with the tools we use to power our marketing efforts: Marketo, WordPress, Salesforce, Tableau and Google Analytics
