TV & Cinema’s Most Iconic Cars Star In Super-Cool Walmart Campaign

There’s Ghostbuster’s ECTO-1, Knight rider’s KITT, Scooby-Doo’s Mystery Machine, Back To The Future’s time travelling DeLorean, even the Griswald’s classic Family Truckster from Vacation.

US discount retailer Walmart has assembled some of the most iconic cars in celluloid history to star in a new campaign promoting its online grocery pick-up service.

The wonderful ad’s the work of Publicis-owned creative agency Department W who had to work with a number of Hollywood studios to get permission to use the vehicles due to copyright.

Although not the originals from actual films, the cars are all set to be super-close replicas.

The 90-second ad debuted during Sunday’s Golden Globes and will follow-up with 15-second ads running nationally and six-second digital and social-media spots.

Check the fun spot out below. Although B&T was sad to see no General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard or Starky And Hutch’s famed red and white Torino.
