Queensland Anti-Porn Crusaders Cop Ad Ban

Queensland Anti-Porn Crusaders Cop Ad Ban

A Queensland anti-pornography group has found itself in a wrangle with a local bus company after it refused to carry the group’s outdoor advertising that came with the message “porn destroys relationships”.

The group, who calls itself A City Free From Porn, is based in Toowoomba and has been actively campaigning for pornography to be abolished in the town believing it is offensive to women and has a negative impact on relationships.

It’s Facebook page calls pornography “a drug” and even a “public health crisis”.

The group tried to have an ad (see a dummy version above) added to the back of local buses, however, the campaign has been rejected by the operators due to the fact it’s of a “sexual and political nature”.

In a statement posted to its Facebook page, the group said: “We live in a world where porn has become the wallpaper of our society. The bus company has refused to put our ad on their bus stating its of a sexual and political nature. We are thankful they have some guidelines unlike many of the other advertisers in our nation,” the statement read.

However, the group is undeterred, vowing it is “working to get this ad on another billboard”.
