Nike Unveils New Federer Ad Moments After Roger Lifted Wimbledon Trophy

Nike was certainly confident of Roger Federer winning Sunday’s men’s Wimbledon tennis final, airing a brand new 30-second TVC moments after the Swiss master lifted the Champion’s Trophy.

It was the eighth time the Nike-sponsored 35-year-old had won at Wimbledon and the reason why the ‘g’ in Fed’s name has been twisted into the number eight in the ad. It was also the Fed Express’s 19th major win.

The ad, by Wieden + Kennedy, comes with plenty of attitude, a pumping soundtrack and warns “If you are not here to cut the grass get off my lawn”. Check it out below:

Nike is also set to turn the “Ro8er” and the “19” (to commemorate Federer’s majors) into a new line of tennis clothing.
