Last Days To Enter: Win A Chance To Pitch To The UN For Project Extraordinary

Have you submitted your entry to Project Extraordinary yet?

There are now just days for Australian creative agencies to enter Project Extraordinary by submitting their pitch to make sustainability sexy.

As an even bigger incentive, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has announced they will feature the winning pitch at three UN events.

As well as featuring at the ‘Be the Extraordinary’ forum to be held at Cannes Lions 2018, the winning film will now also feature at the Social Good Summit as part of the UN General Assembly in September; be showcased at the UN Biodiversity Conference in Egypt during November; and at the UN Environment General Assembly in Nairobi, March 2019.

“This is an unprecedented opportunity,” WWF-Australia CMO Yves Calmette said.

“It would be an extraordinary thing for an agency to be able to present their work on a world stage of this magnitude.”

“The challenge is there for one agency to change the course of history.”

“WWF-Australia would love to see a local Australian agency present their winning idea to the world. Anything is possible.”

Launched in February 2018, Project Extraordinary invites creative minds to develop a short-form video concept that demonstrates how sustainability is desirable, and sexy, to encourage one billion consumers globally to make more than 50% of their purchases based on sustainability as one of the top three decision triggers by 2020.

UNEP director of economy division Ligia Noronha said: “The advertising industry plays a crucial role in creating trends and influencing the choices we make project Extraordinary enrols this industry to be part of shifting consumer behaviours for the survival of generations that follow.”

“There are few opportunities more extraordinary or essential than this task.”

“Our common future really depends, on how we choose to live, work and play as global consumers – how we run our homes, what food we eat, how we get around, how we relax, what we buy and how we care for our planet” she continued.

Project Extraordinary is open now until 12 April 2018.
