John Cena’s New Campaign For Skyy Vodka Has The Internet Very Confused

San Francisco-based Skyy Vodka has tapped actor and former wrestler John Cena for its latest campaign, ‘Proudly American’.

The 30-second spot features Cena celebrating America’s cultural, social and sexual diversity.

It is also supported by a short clip posted to Cena’s Twitter which features the wrestler dancing with two other versions of himself in a faux-boy band.

Speaking to Business Insider, Cena said: “I was really drawn to the fact that it was titled ‘Proudly American.’ I am a proud patriot, and I think a patriot first, above all.

“I think it’s a message that’s not only good now, but it’s good anytime and anywhere.

“I think, no matter what the situation — if it’s hard political times or if it’s everybody playing nice together — the message of embracing diversity is important every single day, no matter where you are on your history timeline.”

So far, the reaction to ‘Proudly American’ has been mixed, with many calling out the campaign for having little to nothing to do with Skyy Vodka whatsoever.

While others have simply been left completely confused.

Unsurprisingly, people have taken to Twitter to express their thoughts.
