Audi Partners With Seven For Australia’s Best Drives TV Series Via PHD

Audi Australia has today announced a new television series Australia’s Best Drives presented by Audi to air on Network Seven for six consecutive Saturdays, commencing November 18.

Viewers will be taken on a journey along some of the best Australian touring roads, stopping along the route to catch a glimpse of secret stopovers and unique experiences, guided by local insights, with host, Shane Jolley.

Winding roads, sweeping vistas, pristine wilderness, local characters and fun, family-friendly communities make Australia one of the best countries in the world for a driving holiday.

Australia’s Best Drives presented by Audi is an entertaining and contemporary television journey through Australia’s favourite driving routes and the experiences that make them great, and features some of Audi’s most iconic models including the coveted R8 Spyder supercar, A5 Coupe and TT RS Roadster.

“Australia’s best driving routes, combined with authentic, local experiences was an ideal playground for Audi to present our extraordinary range of vehicles, and our progressive technology, to a national audience,” said Anna Burgdorf, marketing and communications director at Audi Australia.

“We are incredibly fortunate to enjoy an abundance of great roads, interesting destinations and hidden gems in Australia, but it’s easy to miss the best parts without local knowledge. We’re pleased to present this new series to encourage Australians to make the most of their road trips over the holidays, and thanks to our tips for these six locations, will ensure that viewers see them at their finest.”

Across 6 x 30 min episodes, host Shane Jolley shares six of the best drives in Australia, stretching the length and breadth of the country. The drives include journeys through the best of WA, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

Along the way, some of Audi’s brand ambassadors make guest appearances – including award-winning chef Guillaume Brahimi, surfboard designer Hayden Cox and fashion designer Collette Dinnigan – showcasing their favourite places in Australia and what makes them so special.

Each episode also focuses on the diverse experiences that can be enjoyed along the way: surfing, sailing, ‘glamping’, Dreamtime walking, chocolate-making, whale watching, cave exploring and of course, some of the best restaurants and world-renowned wineries in the country.

“I think this series is like a love letter to Australia and the hidden gems which make it absolutely one of the best countries in the world in which to take a driving holiday. It’s such a beautiful country and the series will hopefully inspire people to pack up the car and take that road trip of a lifetime,” commented Angela Rapley, Director of Content at PHD Content, the media agency’s content and partnerships division, who worked with production company Igloo Media to produce the series for PHD’s client, Audi Australia.

The series will also be shown on Plus7, Network Seven’s on-demand platform.
