Amnesty International Unveils Funny/Powerful Pro-abortion Ad

Amnesty International is behind a witty and powerful new Irish campaign that is bringing attention to the country’s antiquated abortion laws.

Titled “25 annoying things about being pregnant” the ad starts harmless and playful enough as mothers talk about the embarrassing side to their pregnancies, such as complete strangers touching their stomach and having cankles.

However, the spot turns serious half way though when the real message is revealed, and that’s the repeal of Ireland’s Eighth Amendment that bans termination in all cases unless the mother’s life is in danger. The bill is due to be debated by the Irish Parliament in early 2018.
