Vodafone takes fashionable step with Cooper

VODAFONE Australia has signed a sponsorship agreement with fashion designer Wayne Cooper, one of the first non sporting sponsorship agreements for the telco brand.

The partnership’s key focus will be on the Mercedes Australian Fashion Week that begins in Sydney this weekend and runs until May 8.

Vodafone Australia sponsorship manager Fiona Murphy said Cooper’s personality suited the Vodafone brand.

“Wayne Cooper is a perfect Vodafone ambassador,” Murphy said.

“Not only is he one of Australia’s most talented fashion designers but he also complements our company values. He is innovative, fun, savvy, and not afraid to rewrite the rules.”

Cooper joins other Vodafone “ambassadors’ including David Beckham and Micheal Schumacher and the Ferrari Scuderia Formula One racing team.

The Vodafone brand will have a high profile at Cooper’s fashion week show to he held next week at the Overseas Passenger Terminal with all of the guest receiving Vodafone red SIM starter packs.
