The Nielsen Company’s Australian online research arm has appointed Matt Bruce as its new managing director.
Bruce has been promoted to the position following his arrival at Nielsen as national sales director for the online division in 2008.
Bruce succeeds Megan Clarken as the Australian head of the online measurement business. Clarken was recently elevated to the position of managing director of Nielsen’s online business across the Asia Pacific Region.
“I am delighted to take on this role as we enter a pivotal year for the digital industry in Australia,” Bruce said.
“Working with key industry bodies, the IAB and MFA, we aim to introduce a world leading online audience measurement system to Australia and to continue to demonstrate the branding and purchase impact of online advertising.
“We also will continue to grow our local online research practice to assist our clients with in-depth digital market and consumer insights.”
Clarken added: “Australia is one of the biggest markets for Nielsen’s online business and we have experienced strong growth over the past 12 months.
“Matt has been pivotal in achieving that growth and I am confident he will continue this success in his new role as managing director.”
