Revenues push past $1bn at Ten

Revenues at Ten Network Holdings grew by over 12% for the financial year pushing past the $1bn barrier for the first time.

Net profit after tax for the group, which includes the Ten Network and out-of-home firm Eye Corp was $66.1m.

Earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation at the Ten Network were up 3.5% to $237m, while Eye Corp recorded 34.5% growth to $173.1m.

Ten Holdings' executive chairman, Nick Falloon said: "That profitability demonstrates Ten's 'seriously different business model' – with its focus on differentiation from competitors, targeted demographics, operational efficiencies and returns to shareholders – that continues to underpin every facet of Ten's operations."

Chief executive officer – television, Grant Blackley, added: "Our strategy to broaden Ten's target demographic to 18-49 year-olds, initiated two years ago, continues to pay dividends, both in terms of our commercial audience share and the expanding pool of advertisers with whom we interact.”
