Gender bender: Kookai puts men in the picture

SYDNEY lunchtime shoppers got a smile out of a PR stunt staged by fashion retailer Kookai Australia today to launch a new outdoor ad campaign.

Kookai hired a bunch of “Australian Average Joes” who were sent out to wander the streets dressed in the new winter range from the fashion label and carrying Kookai bags.

It was aimed at stirring some publicity ahead of the unveiling of a new outdoor ad campaign that will also feature men dressed in Kookai clothes with the tagline “What would the world be without women?”.

The ads are rolling out in New South Wales and Victoria and will include billboards and street posters. A viral email campaign is also being planned.

The campaign was created by Kookai’s agency DDB and has already launched in European markets.
