Sydney-based Group M agency Maxus has appointed Lisa Giacosa to the newly appointed role of head of interaction in an effort to boost the agency’s digital media credentials.
Giacosa comes to Maxus from Mindshare where she held the position of Asia Pacific head of interactive for IBM.
“We need to live what we preach to clients,” Maxus, MD David Gaines told B&T.
Gaines said Giacosa’s “micro skill set” would be an advantage for Maxus.
Giacosa has already started with Maxus.
She is currently leading a small team of one, but Gaines anticipates the team will get bigger in the future.
Maxus has also won a significant client in the homemaker sector, estimated to be worth $1m.
Gaines could not divulge the name of the client but said the agency was excited to be working with them to develop a “national image”.
In February Maxus secured wins worth around $3m—Gourmet Gardens brand of herb pastes and the largest fashion wholesaler in Australia, Dolina Group Fashion.
