PepsiCo triumphs at POPAI Awards

 
PepsiCo Australia has won two display of the year awards at the 2008 Marketing at Retail Awards.

The company’s Red Rock Deli display campaign by Visy Glama won best temporary while the Twisties Big Mouth display by Creative Instore Solutions won for semi-permanent display. Permanent Display of the Year went to Shimano Shop by Adline Group.

The awards are organised by Point Of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) Australia and New Zealand to recognise and reward companies in the point of purchase advertising industry across Australia.

The eighth annual competition had companies competing in 15 categories with a total of 73 awards handed out during the night.

There were 24 Bronze, 21 Silver, 23 Gold, three display of the year awards, and two specialist awards handed out in all.

These year’s awards saw a record number of entries with 171 coming from more than 30 of the industries members.

PepsiCo also won the most number of gold awards with five in all, for work done with Creative Instore

Solutions and Visy Glama. Second in the gold awards category was L’Oreal Paris Australia with two awards in conjunction with Pop Art Australia. Visy Glama won the most golds with four in all, while Creative Instore Solutions, Pop Art Australia and Active Display Group tied for second with three golds each for second place.
