Aussie agencies score at global effectiveness awards

TWO Australian advertising agencies have picked up awards at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertisers (IPA) Effectiveness Awards in the UK.

Host and BMF both won bronze awards in the UK’s equivalent to the Advertising Federation of Australia’s bi-annual effectiveness awards.

Host pick up its award for its work for Virgin Mobile Australia, while BMF won for its Meat & Livestock Australia Lamb work.

Virgin Mobile Australia was also named as part of the Best New Client winning entry which included Virgin Mobile and Virgin Trains in the UK.

The IPA Awards are open to international entries unlike the AFA Effectiveness Awards.

UK agency Vallance Carruthers Coleman and Priest won the Grand Prix as well as Effectiveness Agency of the Year (under £100m).
