 BREAKING CAMPAIGNS
Samsung

Samsung is launching a new campaign on November 19 for its full high definition LCD TV F8 series. Created by Leo Burnett and media by Mindshare, the campaign will run across FTA, pay TV, lifestyle and technology magazines, daily press, online and outdoor.

Samsung’s AV marketing manager, Rodney Rodrigues, said it would be a multi-million dollar campaign aimed at educating consumers about its new series.

He predicted that demand for HD TV sets is set to increase with the free-to-air TV networks launching their new digital channels which are HD-enabled.

“The whole campaign, with the theme Imagine capturing every precious detail, is based around the clarity of the picture on the screen. The point is to educate people that HD gives greater picture quality,” he said.

Leo Burnett has created two versions of the TVC – a general one, and a second execution with sports-specific content aimed at appealing to a male-skewed audience.
