Breaking campaigns: Foxtel

The latest installment of Foxtel’s “Unexpectedly Surprising” campaign by Three Drunk Monkeys sees a young boy getting creative in the sandpit with a fellow playmate.

While two mothers have a chat and enjoy a cuppa, their young children are creating a sand art masterpiece, mimicking the Sphinx of Egypt. The mothers come out to see the children’s creation and ask if it’s a “dog” to which the child replies, “Dog. It’s a Sphinx!” While the mother of the creator looks thrilled at her child’s accomplishment, the mother of the child in the Sphinx is less than impressed and quickly rescues him from his sand prison.

The ad then finishes with the tagline “For family programs that spark the imagination for less than $2 a day call Foxtel.”

Credits: Creative team Scott Nowell, Justin Drape, Damian Fitzgerald and Matt Heck; business management Vicky Norton and Leigh Morrison; director Paul Middleditch; production company Plaza Films; agency producer Thea Carone; client team Ant Warne, Marc Burns, Nicole Bardsley and Jade Mackay.
