Du Vernet and Pease jump ship

Senior Naked staffers Jon Du Vernet and Jonathan Pease have quit the agency to join Ikon Communications’ digital shop New Dialogue.

Pease, who is also style director on Fox8’s Australia’s Next Top Model, held the role of executive ideas director at Naked while Du Vernet ran the Photon-owned agency's special projects arm, before taking charge of it's recently created Expression division.

Lyndon Hale, managing partner at New Dialogue confirmed that both Pease and Du Vernet would be joining the agency to expand its experiential offer.

“Over the past 18 months we have been developing our creative capabilities, process and reputation, the addition of JP and JD will continue to build our ability to generate and produce world class ideas,” Hale said.

Tim Sexton, joint managing partner at New Dialogue added: “We wanted to bolster our creative services offering and decided to go out and get the best ideas people in the market and give them an open remit to create a new business.”

Naked co-founder Mike Wilson said that plans to replace Du Vernet were already "well underway", while a direct replacement for Pease is also being sought.

Du Vernet had been with Naked from its launch and departs after four and a half years. His past work includes the 'Bom Chika Chicks' beach-raft relaunch stunt for Unilever deodorant brand Lynx.

Pease, the man behind Naked's infamous ‘Man in Jacket’ campaign for retailer Witchery, as well as its recent Thredbo work, had been with Naked for the past two-and-a-half years.

Both will start in July.
