Virgin Atlantic in bed with Merivale amanda swinburn
Virgin, that veteran of publicity stunts, has done it again with a showcase of Virgin Atlantic’s award-winning business class beds at one of Sydney’s top watering holes.
As part of a month long campaign, held in conjunction with the Merivale Group, visitors to The Establishment will be able to trial the biggest flat beds in business class, known as the Upper Class Suite and kick back with a specially-created cocktail the ‘Redhead’.
The campaign is designed to raise awareness of the Upper Class Suite and is also part of a customer relationship management program for the Merivale Group, who are offering customers across all their venues the chance to win four pairs of tickets to Hong Kong and three nights’ accommodation.
Other giveaways include over 50 vouchers for Merivale venues winning accommodation at The Establishment, dinner at Est, Lotus and Bistro CBD and drinks at Hemmesphere and the Slip Inn.
A Virgin Atlantic spokeswoman said the suite promotion will be a piece of street theatre re-creating the airline experience with a mattress, doona and full size pillow and massages on selected nights.
“The Upper Class passengers are sure to have a good night’s sleep, even in the window of the Establishment with Sydney passing by,” she said.
