O&M execs in court

US: Senior executives from Ogilvy & Mather this week took the stand in the trial of former O&M staffers Shona Seifert and Joe Early.

Seifert and Early are accused of scheming to overbill the U.S. Government on the Office of National Drug Control Policy account. They have entered a not guilty plea.

This week say the president of Ogilvy & Mather's North American operations, Bill Gray, take the stand as a prosecution witness.

In his evidence Gray said the two executives in 1999 told him of a $US2.9m shortfall in revenue on the ONDCP account. He said he instructed the pair to "get afix on it and get back to me".

Seifert or Early a few days later told him "they had a handle on it," Gray said.
