DDB Sydney takes gold at London Awards

DDB Sydney was the star Australian performer at this year’s London International Awards, taking gold for its NAPCAN “Children See. Children Do” film.

The TVC, which is the seventeenth most awarded commercial of the year according to the Gunn Report, took the top prize in the public service and social welfare category.

The Furnace also took home silver in the print category for its “Mushroom Cloud” ad for Slazenger.

Leo Burnett Sydney picked up three silvers. One for its “See Things” TVC for McDonalds, as well as two for the Johnnie Walker “Invisible Man” commercial in the visual direction and editing categories.

Filmgraphics also scored silver in the visual direction category for the “Finding Changes” ad for the National Breast Cancer Council, while Plaza Films also took a silver in the humour section of the TV and cinema category for Carlton Draught “Flashbeer”.

The awards were presented in London ion Monday night.

Dove's online ad "Evolution" by Ogilvy & Mather Toronto, won both the digital and TV grand prizes.
