Convicted Seifert quits TBWA post

US: A week after being convicted of defrauding the federal government while working on its anti-drug ad account, Shona Seifert has stepped down from her post as president of the New York office of Omnicom Group's TBWA/Chiat/Day.

Seifert and the agency "have mutually agreed to her resignation, according to a TBWA spokesman.

The resignation was widely expected following her conviction last week of leading a scheme to overbill the Office of National Drug Control Policy in 1999 while she worked at WPP Group's Ogilvy & Mather. Source: AdAge.com
