New Zealand marketing and communications strategy firm Proximity ID has been rebranded as Affinity ID, marking the agency’s shift to new private ownership.
Formerly under the AIM Proximity and Clemenger group umbrella in New Zealand, Affinity ID is now fully owned by staffers Geoff Cooper and Angela Day, who have worked for a decade in the business.
Chief executive Cooper said: “Creating our own space in the market is a very logical move, and one which has been warmly supported by our clients and many industry colleagues.
“The business has expanded to the point where it is a strong stand-alone proposition. We’re now able to realise our own vision for growth and to let the talents of our people flourish in a fresh creative environment,” he said.
Managing director Day added: “Creating a new identity is an exciting step. The team felt the ‘ID’ in our old name was an important part of our heritage, it’s how much of the industry knew us, so it was important to keep that link”.
While Affinity ID is looking to attract new clients, it will continue to work with AIM Proximity on several key clients including Air New Zealand, Vodafone, Television New Zealand and the Yellow Pages’ business listing Yellow.
