Austereo has appointed a new chief operating officer in Geraint Davies, who was previously chief executive of mail media and publishing company Horizon Media.
Davies steps into a role vacated by Patrick Joyce, who had the title general manager of operations, who left the station in August to join the Fairfax family’s private investment company, Marinva Media as investment director.
Austereo chief executive Michael Anderson said: “Geraint has been working with Austereo for the past few months on a contract basis, leading and driving some major new projects for the group. He will continue to lead these major projects, while working closely with senior management on delivering our business strategy.”
Davies was also a previous chief operating officer of APN Outdoor, and launched digital cinema in the UK as commercial director of Carlton Screen Advertising.
Austereo is the owner of the Today and Triple M radio networks.
