Coke branded music show off to good start

The Seven Network’s tie-up with soft drink giant Coca-Cola to produce a weekly branded music show is proving a hit with viewers, becoming the highest rated music program on TV.

Figures from OzTam show that Live ‘N Local Up Close is averaging 255,000 viewers a week, three weeks into its run.

Seven claims the show is out performing other music show rivals such as Ten’s Video Hits, ABC’s Rage and Nine’s The Music Jungle.

On Sundays, Live ‘N Local Up Close is the number one show in its timeslot leading Sunday on Nine and Video Hits on Ten.

Live 'N Local Up Close is a partnership between Coca-Cola Australia and Seven Media Group, leveraging both TV and online through Yahoo!7 Music.

The network claims that on average users are spending more than 10 minutes engaging with the content on the website.

Hosted by Sarah McLeod, it features performances from both Australian and international brands and broadcasts from 10am.
