Cummins creative team cross the ditch

CumminsNitro Melbourne creative team Matt Page and Carolyn Davis have been poached by Saatchi & Saatchi Auckland, where they will take over as creative group heads in November.

Page and Davis have produced award-winning work in the past three years for clients including charity Australian Multiple Sclerosis, Clarks, Virgin Blue and Virgin Atlantic.

Their most recent work for Mars Snackfoods was Dove Chocumentaries.

Sean Cummins, chief executive of CumminsNitro Melbourne said he is “very supportive of them going and trying new things”.

“New Zealand has got a bit of form. Cummins & Partners and CumminsNitro, as it has been latterly, seems to be the breeding ground for a lot of people over the years. A lot of our guys get poached by big agencies, so I’m very proud of the talent people find in my agency and deploy in their own,” he said.

Page and Davis will not be immediately replaced Cummins said: “We’re fine at the moment; we’ve got a very strong and deep creative list.”

Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand executive creative director Mike O’Sullivan confirmed the appointment.

“They are replacing a team that left a while ago to go to Publicis Mojo Melbourne,” he said.
