Kraft Australia marketing director Nikki Anderson has resigned after spending less than a year at the FMCG giant.
Anderson is currently working out her notice period following the decision, which was revealed privately to Kraft and its advertising agencies, Draft FCB, Badjar Ogilvy and JWT, two weeks ago.
Simon Brady, the category marketing manager, has also quit, although it’s understood that the departures are not linked, with Anderson feeling the job “just wasn’t right” for her.
Anderson was appointed as Kraft’s marketing director in January, following an eye-catching career elevation through Cadbury Schweppes’ marketing departments in the US and Europe.
She immediately restructured the marketing department at Kraft and oversaw a relaunch of the flagship Vegemite brand with a high-profile ad campaign by JWT.
Anderson also shook up the company’s roster of agencies, jettisoning CumminsNitro Melbourne and placing the brand it handled, premium range JL Kraft, into hibernation.
A Kraft spokesman said: “Both Simon and Nikki have resigned to pursue other career opportunities outside Kraft. The decisions were amicable and it’s business as usual for us.
“We will be actively recruiting for a replacement (for Anderson) and hope to make an appointment in the New Year.”
