Tourism Western Australia has named a four-strong shortlist for its creative account.
The tourism body said that 303, BMF, Host and M&C Saatchi would compete for the account, following a tender.
Marketforce, which withdrew from the pitch, has held creative duties for Tourism WA since 2005 after taking the business from 303. Its contract is set to expire in October.
The shortlisted agencies will be tasked with presenting a “breakthrough” creative idea and consult on Tourism WA’s new brand strategy during the remaining stages of the review.
Tourism WA called a review of its advertising arrangements in April. A decision on the winner is set to take place in July.
Stephanie Buckland, executive director of marketing for Tourism WA, said: “Ultimately the successful tenderer will have to deliver advertising which builds tourism in the State and helps grow the economy.
“We believe our commitment to this process will result in the very best agency for Tourism WA and the State’s tourism industry. The new campaign will have a significant impact on the industry’s ability to attract more visitors to WA.”
