Visa hits right note with Games TVC
Tanya Segger

Visa has been ‘inundated’ with requests from the public on how to get hold of the stirring soundtrack to its Commonwealth Games TVC, “I can’t do it alone”, since it went to air last month.

So much so, Visa International today announced it has made the tune available as a free download through its website www.visaentertainment.com.au

Visa’s ‘Proud Supporter’ campaign created by Clemenger BBDO Sydney, shows Australian sporting moments where support from the crowd encourages the athletes to achieve extraordinary results.

The soundtrack was composed by Hylton Mowday and written by Chris Pearce especially for the Commonwealth Games and although the singer sounds a little like Australia’s favourite son Alex Llyod, the singer is actually little known talent Brydon Stayce.

Bruce Mansfield, Visa’s executive vice president said: "We had hoped to leverage the track and knew it would have broad appeal but we couldn't have hoped for this type of overwhelming reaction from viewers”.

Visa has donated $10,000 to Plan, a charity for reducing child poverty and the official Games’ Goodwill Partner.

The credit card company is also encouraging people to donate to the organisation when downloading the song from the site.
