Brendan Tansey will re-locate to London after accepting the role of chief executive at direct marketing agency Wunderman UK.
Tansey announced his resignation as the chief executive at Euro RSCG Australia last week and is expected to stay with the company until March next year.
He has worked at Euro for 15 years in Australia, the US and Europe, and took up the chief executive role in 2005.
Daniel Morel chairman and chief executive at Wunderman Worldwide said: “As CEO of Euro’s Australian operation, his influence is credited with turning the agency around, and consolidating and winning business in a tough climate. What especially appealed to us about Brendan was how he merged a separate direct and sales promotion agency into existing direct and digital agencies. While every situation is different, no doubt, Brendan’s success in Sydney will be especially beneficial to us in London, as our UK agency continues to evolve following its transformation this summer.”
Tansey has also spent five years in Paris and London as European director of digital agencies and began his career at Ogilvy, working his way up from a trainee to account manager.
