 APPOINTMENTS
OMD, WLTBWA and KWP appoint

IN recent people moves in advertising, OMD Sydney has appointed Alix Hamilton as account director. Hamilton will join the media agency on September 1.

She was previously at Universal McCann where she was part of the Cannes Media Grand Prix-winning team for the Magnum Seven Deadly Sins campaign.

She was also one of the winners of this year’s B&T Weekly/Fairfax young creatives competition, in the media category, and won a trip to Cannes to attend the Cannes International Advertising Festival.

Narelle Vine has joined Whybin Lawrence TBWA as head of traffic. Vine spent the past two and a half years as head of project management with M&C Saatchi, Sydney.

Kaija Wall has also joined the agency as head of television. Wall was previously head of television at John Bevins.

In Melbourne, KWP Melbourne—which set up shop in Melbourne in 2002—has rounded off its management team after poaching ex-Cummins & Partners account director Darren McColl recently.

Along with ex-Leo Burnett CD Derek Craig and art director David Stephens, McColl will head up the relatively new-to-Melbourne agency, which now boasts a total of eight staff.

McColl—who goes by the humorous working title of ‘Poet Laureate’ at the agency—said the opportunity to join KWP was “too good to knock back”.
