Universal McCann has appointed Nathan Brown as client service director on the agency’s Unilever business.
Brown was formerly a group account director at the previously-named Optimedia in charge of the Lion Nathan account and has also worked as a media communications leader and strategist with agencies in London (Walker Media) and Sydney (The Media Palace and Carat).
Brown replaces Anneliese Douglass, who has taken maternity leave.
Universal McCann was forced to defend its Australia Unilever business in a pitch against MindShare last year and went on to win Cannes Media Gold and this year’s Cannes Media Grand Prix for its work on the Lynx brand. The Unilever work also contributed to Universal McCann winning the Cannes Media Agency of the Year award.
Jeff Cressall, CEO of Universal McCann Australia, said Brown’s professional skills matched the business platform for the agency’s progress. “Our purpose is to build sustainable communications advantages for your clients through innovative business solutions across any media,” Cressall said.
