Host’s comms business makes senior hires

Independent agency Host’s new media communications business, Bring, has made two senior hires, appointing former Naked strategist Michelle Hunter and digital strategist Bronwyn Galvin formerly of Hothouse.

It is the second major hire since Bring was established last month when Simon Pugh was brought in as client service director.

Hunter, who joins as communications strategist was most recently working on Coca Cola including the award-winning Sprite campaign during her time with Naked.

Galvin joins the team as digital strategist from digital agency Hothouse where she was responsible for consumer engagement. She previously held the role of media director at The White Agency where she oversaw Big Pond and Sensis.

Pugh said: “We set out to assemble a senior team with a shared passion for communication strategies driven by great ideas. The addition of Bronwyn and Michelle fulfils this intent and cements our credentials in communications planning”.

Anthony Freedman, chief executive of Host said, “Bring is now fully operational with a strong senior team in Simon, Bronwyn and Michelle. We are already seeing great benefit in communication planning sitting alongside our existing strategic capabilities at Host and One Green Bean.”

Bring opened its doors with clients including BankWest and Oasis Youth Support Network with a combined projected media spend in excess of $30m.
