Aussie pushes out Mediacom for Razor

Mortgage broker Aussie has streamlined the management of its media duties, stripping Mediacom of buying responsibilities and handing the business to Razor.

Razor was already handling Aussie’s media planning and strategy and will now look after all media for the company. The decision to move the account from Mediacom was made without a pitch.

Aussie has also appointed Amnesia Group to manage its online marketing activities. Amnesia, which also looks after website development and online creative, replaces Emitch, also without a pitch.

Stuart Tucker, general manager marketing of Aussie, said: “The appointment of Razor makes sense, as the agency already handles our planning and strategy and we can leverage their expertise from planning to buying, through to tracking and analysis.”

Razor will take over all the mainstream media buying for Aussie’s home loan, credit card and personal loans from January 1.

The advertising account currently managed by Saatchi & Saatchi is not affected by the changes.
