ENTRIES are being called for in the 2004 Internet Awwwards , now in their seventh year.
Newly appointed chairman of judges, digital strategist and trainer Heather Albrecht, said she believed this year’s entries would reflect the increasing use and sophistication of Internet advertising.
“I’m very excited about chairing the panel of judges for this year’s Awwwards as there has been a significant shift in Internet advertising over the last 12 months,” Abrecht said.
“Not only have we seen the industry grow by 41% in terms of online media spend but I believe marketers and their agencies are truly beginning to understand the media’s hybrid power to both brand and generate response resulting in on and offline sales.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the work that I expect will reflect this understanding with more sophisticated campaign strategy, creative developed specifically for the online channel and stellar ROI results.”
Judges confirmed include Starcom IP’s Brendon Cropper, News Interactive’s John Galloway, MLC’s Simon Hovell, Nudie’s Tim Pethick, Sensis MediaSmart’s Anthony Saines, Virgin Credit Card’s Chris Thornton, and NetX’s Kevin Walsh.
