Newly installed Federal digital minister Stephen Conroy is to make his first major public appearance in the role at tomorrow night’s B&T Awards.
Senator Conroy, who was given the communications, broadband and digital economy brief following Labor's election victory, will be guest of honour at the ceremony which is being held at Sydney’s Luna Park
"I'm honoured and greatly looking forward to attending and presenting an award at the advertising and media industry's night of nights," Sen Conroy said.
Around 900 people will be at the sold-out ceremony, which will recognise advertising, media and PR agencies, along with marketing and media sales teams. It follows the most rigorous process ever conducted for an Australian advertising and marketing event which included more than 50 jurors and live presentations to the jury.
Triple M presenter Wil Anderson will compere the event.
