HONDA is giving Australians the chance to see its much talked about international television commercial for the new Honda Accord Euro this weekend.
The $2m ad “The Cog” that took five months of planning and 606 takes will screen in full for the first time on Sunday night on Seven and Nine between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. A 60 second version will be screened later.
The ad created by UK-based agency Wieden and Kennedy has been acclaimed internationally as one of the greatest car ads of the last 20 years.
It features individual pieces of a Honda Accord interacting domino-style.
Honda marketing manager John Pranger said Cog had already reached Australia via a global viral campaign which prompted an overwhelming response.
“It’s a powerful ad for a powerful car and we expect Australians will embrace this piece of film with enthusiasm,” Pranger said.
